Social Return on Investment (SROI) is a method for measuring and communicating a broad concept of value that incorporates social, environmental and economic impacts. It is a way of accounting for the value created by our activities and the contributions that made that activity possible.
In our workshop, we will work through a number of examples and provide you with the opportunity to use your own examples. We will also provide links to SROI calculators and other resources to be used for this purpose. You will learn how to set up your program to calculate an SROI.
This workshop is intended for individuals with an intermediate level of evaluation expertise. All are welcome to attend, however the training will be delivered at an intermediate level.
The instructor is Harry Cummings; Harry is Director of Harry Cummings and Associates Inc. Harry has Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Geography from Clark University and a B.A. Honours from Western. He is a Registered Professional Planner and a long time member of the Canadian Evaluation Society, currently in the position of National President.
