Saskatchewan’s cultural community mourns the loss of Vern Bell, an active cultural leader, teacher and dedicated musician, who passed away on August 31, 2015.  Working with his wife Carol Gay Bell, he was known as a passionate advocate of music throughout his career, most notably for his dedication and commitment to helping young people connect with their musical abilities at Saskatchewan Express.  Besides having a key role in a number of band programs in the province, he was also Executive Director of The Saskatchewan Arts Board from 1972 to 1977.  For more informaiton, visit http://www.speersfuneralchapel.com/tribute/details/5827/Vernon_Eugene_Parker_Bell/obituary.html
