Type of Funding: Project Funding

The Municipal Cultural Engagement and Planning Fund (MCEP) aims to support Saskatchewan municipalities and First Nations Bands wanting to explore and plan for the creative and cultural potential of their community through cultural engagement and planning initiatives. 

Amount

Maximum Grant Amount: Up to 50% of eligible project expenses, to a maximum of $25,000.

Purpose

The fund is intended to support municipal initiatives that explore, engage and plan for culture and the cultural life of a community. Examples of eligible expenses for a MCEP may include, but are not limited to:

  • Community engagement costs (meetings, promotion);
  • Consultants;
  • Facilitators;
  • Mentors;
  • Printing costs;
  • Training materials/resources; and
  • Travel and accommodation costs.

Eligibility

Urban and rural municipalities, and First Nations Bands are eligible to apply.

Before You Apply

  • Read the program guidelines; and
  • All applicants, especially new applicants, are strongly urged to discuss their request with the grant coordinator prior to submission well in advance of the deadline.
