Walking Together: A Sharing Circle Gathering for Truth and Reconciliation
On the path to reconciliation, we must walk together. This gathering, hosted by The People Bridge Advocacy, is dedicated to bringing all communities together — Indigenous and non-Indigenous- to reflect on the truths of Residential Schools and to build understanding, healing, and unity.
Our theme, From Reflection to Reconciliation, invites participants to move beyond awareness into meaningful action that honours Survivors, remembers those who never returned home, and strengthens relationships across communities.
The day will include: Four Direction Prayer and Smudging – Elder Wallace Awasis Knowledge Sharing: History of Residential Schools – Maurina Gardipy, IRS Survivor Linking the Past to the Present – Elder Rick Daniels, Recon Saskatoon Music and Language – Jason Chamakese (Flute) Medicines – NeepSee Herbs, North Battleford Newcomers Building Relationships – April Sora & Dr. Judy White Land Sharing: Treaty Land Sharing Network – Amy Seesequasis Lunch and refreshments will be served.
