Job Summary:

Are you creative? Do you enjoy graphic design and marketing? Do you enjoy social media? SEDA is looking for creative people to design and create marketing materials, social media content, and communications strategies for sponsors and donors. Help us communicate our vision and showcase our programming.

Who is SEDA?
The Saskatchewan Elocution and Debate Association envisions a world where youth have the confidence and skills to engage in reasoned discourse on complex and difficult issues. We work to advance the speech arts among Saskatchewan youth by providing and developing speech and debate programs and resources. SEDA hosts competitive tournaments, helps start speech and debate clubs, provided resources to teachers and coaches, and teaches debate and speech skills to students in grades 5-12.  

Responsibilities and Duties
• Design and create marketing and promotional materials for SEDA
• Identify potential donors and sponsors
• Develop and plan communications strategies for key sponsors and donors.
• Develop and plan social media communications strategies
• Assist with the development of fundraising strategies
• Identify potential partnerships with community organizations and businesses

Marketing Coordinators will be required to work from home. Some meetings may take place at our Saskatoon office, depending on public health guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum grade 12 education
• Experienced with digital technology
• Excellent writing skills
• Graphic design and marketing experience
• Access to computer/laptop/tablet and internet connection
• Team oriented, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliable and organized
• Speech or debate experience an asset
• Successful Criminal record and vulnerable sector check

This job is funded in part though the Canada Summer Jobs Program. To be eligible, applicants must: 
• Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment 
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and  
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial and territorial legislation and regulations.
