This integral position will administer the day-to-day operations of the Lyric Theatre and its various programs plus grant and sponsorship applications under the supervision of The Lyric Theatre Artistic/Executive Director. The Administrator will also administer the ticketing of all Lyric events, all rentals and administration of all contracts associated with the programming and operation of the Facility, in collaboration with the Artistic/Executive Director. Additionally, they will be responsible for the administration of all accounting practices, banking, building maintenance and capital projects. Finally, they will administer the maintenance and content of the Lyric website.

Term and Salary
2 year contract with possible renewal.
Salary – dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Qualifications required:
Multiple years of professional theatre administration experience, or equivalent, including grant writing.

The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial and community orientated, capable of honest engagement with a broad range of demographics, and committed to promoting the core concepts of equity, diversity, and inclusion. With demonstrated experience and achievement in effective collaboration and team leadership.

Most desirable computer skills:
Computer literate. Fluent with Excel, both PC and Mac computers, Quick Books, Microsoft Office, i-Movie, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp

Ability to embrace the pressure of a high performance working environment
Collegial, personable, positive outlook and sense of humour. Experience with grant proposal writing.


Candidate should also have:
* Strong technical writing skills;
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Ability to abide by a professional, ethical code of conduct;
* Ability to take a broad-based strategic approach to work planning and client service;
* Ability to plan, organize and manage a diverse workload;
* Ability to work autonomously and also within a multi-disciplinary team setting.

The Lyric Theatre is a vibrant, sustainable, community-animated professional theatre; Swift Current’s producing and presenting home and venue(s) for the performing arts.

It is home to the Write Out Loud literary series, Open Stage (open mic music) series, Youth Talent Nights, The Sparks In The Dark theatre series, The Great Southwest Shakespeare Festival, and host to the Blenders Music series plus a variety of independent presenters of music and theatre.
