The Western Development Museum - Saskatoon is seeking an Exhibits Technician who will ensure indoor and outdoor exhibits and gallery spaces are maintained to a high standard, as well as perform the tasks necessary for daily care and upkeep of exhibits and gallery spaces.
The Exhibits Technician is responsible for:
• Inspecting Museum exhibits, gallery spaces and outdoor exhibit areas regularly, documenting and reporting necessary maintenance/repair/replacement per established exhibits procedures.
• Keeping accurate exhibit maintenance records.
• Performing artifact inventory and condition reporting as required.
• Undertaking repairs whenever possible. Acquiring parts, equipment and/or external assistance as and where required.
• Coordinating the set-up and tear-down of temporary/travelling exhibits.
• Assisting in overseeing volunteers shop usage for projects pertaining to exhibits. Provides input into the selection of staff and volunteers assigned exhibit maintenance work.
