At the Regina Symphony Orchestra (RSO), we enrich hearts, minds, and souls through a vibrant tapestry of music performances reflecting the rich diversity of the community we serve.

Join us during one of the most pivotal and creative periods in our history as our marketing and communications professional. In this role, you will develop and execute strategies to grow our audience, boost ticket sales, and elevate our brand awareness. Your work will directly support the RSO’s mission to strengthen community through compelling live orchestral experiences, in collaboration with the Executive Director and Artistic Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing & Audience Development:
• Develop and implement strategic marketing campaigns to drive ticket sales, subscriptions, and community engagement.
• Create and manage compelling content across all marketing channels, including social media, email newsletters, website, print, and video.
• Lead promotional efforts for all RSO concerts, education programs, and special initiatives.
• Analyze audience data to inform targeted marketing strategies and pricing models.
• Manage digital marketing efforts, including website updates, email marketing, social media, and online advertising.
• Oversee traditional marketing efforts, including print advertising, radio, direct mail, and promotional partnerships.
• Develop initiatives to engage new and diverse audiences.

Communications & Public Relations:
• Develop and execute storytelling initiatives that highlight the impact of the RSO’s performances and community programs.
• Act as the primary media contact, manage press relations and coordinating interviews, press releases, and media coverage.
• Oversee the development of concert programs, promotional materials, annual reports, and other marketing collateral.
• Ensure consistent brand messaging and identity across all communications.
• Represent the RSO at community events, fostering partnerships and cross-promotions with local organizations.

Fundraising & Sponsorship Support:
• Collaborate with the Development team on donor communications, sponsorship proposals, and fundraising campaigns.
• Assist in planning and promoting special events, including gala fundraisers and donor appreciation initiatives.
• Ensure sponsor and donor recognition in marketing materials and event promotions.

Team & Budget Management:
• Manage initiatives with external vendors, including designers, photographers, videographers, and marketing contractors as needed.
• Develop and oversee the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective campaign execution.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports on marketing effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required Qualifications and Experience:
• 2+ years of experience in marketing, public relations, external/stakeholder communications, graphic design, or a related field.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling abilities with a keen eye for visual design.
• Experience managing social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Google Ads).
• Strong graphic design skills, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and/or other graphic design tools.
• Proficiency in website content management (WordPress or similar CMS).
• Familiarity with CRM and email marketing platforms.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines.

Preferred Skills & Attributes:
• Marketing experience in a performing arts or non-profit environment.
• Knowledge of Google Analytics and experience with SEO best practices.
• Experience in video editing and multimedia content creation (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar tools)
• Established relationships with local media, nonprofit, and/or arts organizations
• Passion for the arts and a strong appreciation for live orchestral music.
• Creative problem solver with the ability to think strategically and adapt to new opportunities.
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with a diverse range of personalities, including musicians, staff, board members, donors, and media professionals.
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative, artistic setting while also being comfortable working independently.
• Resilient and diplomatic, able to navigate high-pressure situations.

Additional General Requirements Include Your Agreement To:
1. Use your vehicle for work purposes and hold a valid driver’s license from the Province of Saskatchewan.
2. Provide the RSO a Criminal Record Check (and every 36 months thereafter).
3. Read and understand the RSO’s Health and Safety Protocols.
4. Work evenings and weekends.
5. Reside within a reasonable commuting distance to/from Regina due to the onsite nature of the work.

• Base Compensation: $60,000 to $65,000.
