Articulate Ink is seeking applications from individuals with print experience to join a team of motivated creative professionals. Working alongside the founders of Articulate Ink, The Programming Coordinator assists in the development of, preparation for and delivery of print-based public programs.

Rate of Pay: $17.00 / hour plus free studio access (value of $110 / month)

Hours: Up to 20 hours per week. This position involves variable hours, including occasional evenings and weekends. Due to the nature of the work the Programming Coordinator may balance their time between working on-site at the studio and working remotely (subject to programming demands).

About the Position

The Programming Coordinator assists in the provision of unique, print-based programming for the public and members of Articulate Ink by:

- Pitching concepts for new programs and partnerships;
Developing seasonal program plans in collaboration with other staff;

- Facilitating surveys and other community input efforts;
Developing promotional materials for distribution online and in print;

- Managing enrollment processes and responding to program enquiries;

- Providing hands-on assistance during programming and events;

- Acting as a resource for those accessing the studio, including technical assistance and ensuring adherence to studio use policy;

- Engaging in ongoing program evaluation including the collection of statistical information;

- Researching funding opportunities and drafting project specific grant applications;

- Participating in annual strategic planning sessions;
Conducting research on materials and processes in alignment with Articulate Ink’s commitment to environmentally conscious processes;

- Proactively assisting with the maintenance of a clean, efficient and studio environment.

Key Competencies

- Two years post secondary or equivalent experience
Minimum two years experience in a print studio (teaching experience an asset)

- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office programs

- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs as well as online platforms including Eventzilla and Mailchimp

- Grant writing experience

- Strong organizational skills

- Ability to work as a team and independently

- Adaptability and creative problem-solving skills

- Professional, positive attitude

- Valid Drivers’ Licence
