The position will report to the Education & Language Specialist and involves assisting the Saskatchewan Indigenous Cultural Centre (SICC) Languages department and supporting the Cultural Resource Management department. The candidate will be working in administrative capacities relating to the Languages department and the opportunity to work with annual events and special projects work with language and culture revitalization. The successful candidate will be able to work the duration of the summer and ideally be a student in the visual arts, social sciences or the sciences. Preference would be given to a candidate with fluency in a First Nations language.

Preference would be given to candidate with general proficiency with digital technology. The successful
candidate will:

• Be willing to commit to the full duration of the work assignment;
• Have been a full-time student (as defined by their educational institutions) in the semester
preceding their job with YCW;
• Be between 16 and 30 years of age at the start of employment;
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada;
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or have refugee status in Canada;
• Be registered in the YCW candidate inventory;
• Not have another full-time job (over 30 hours a week) while employed with YCW; and,
• Intend to return to full-time studies in the semester following their job with YCW.

This is a term position lasting 16 weeks from May 14, 2018 to August 31, 2018. All interested candidates
