The Saskatchewan Craft Council is seeking a BOUTIQUE & GALLERY MARKETING ASSISTANT to assist in the development of a marketing plan for our public programs, plus providing summer relief for our Boutique and Gallery.

The ideal candidate will be a university or technical college student (3rd or 4th year) undergraduate or in a graduate program in the field of Marketing. The position requires above average research, documenting, writing and editing skills. A proficiency in MS Office products to create a marketing plan is required. In addition, the candidate will be engaging, be able to communicate comfortably and professionally with a wide range of people from various backgrounds, in written and oral form. Experience in research techniques and writing is essential.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to meet deadlines, flexible and comfortable working within a non-profit arts organization. A valid driver’s license is a requirement.

The position is located at the Saskatchewan Craft Council in Saskatoon. It runs from May 28 to August 17,
2018. (Starting and ending dates may be changed). This is a full-time position (35 hours per week), at $13.11 per hour.

Interested candidates must:
 Be legally entitled to work in Canada;
 Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident, or have refugee status in Canada (non-Canadian students holding temporary work visas or awaiting permanent status are not eligible);
 Be between 16 and 30 years of age at the start of employment;
 Not have another full-time job (over 30 hours a week) while employed through the YCW program;
 Have been a full-time student (as defined by the candidate’s educational institution) in the semester
preceding the YCW job; and
 Intend to return to full-time studies in the semester following the YCW job.
