Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 Reporting directly to the Production and Site Manager, and/or Production Stage Manager: work alongside festival staff and design team to construct, support, and maintain all technical elements of the Festival site.

Perform duties of Technical Director such as:
o Assist in setting up and striking of Festival tents.
o Supervise crew and participate in the construction of seating units, stages, and scenery in Festival tents
as well as other carpentry required on the Festival site.
o Purchase incidental materials required while paying strict attention to budget.
o Assist in the move from rehearsal hall to site.
o Supervise and assist in the installation of lighting, sound, and other technical equipment on site as
required.
o Assist Community Stage Producer with lighting and sound requirements for Community Stage.
o Assist in maintaining an attractive Festival Site.
o Assist in the supervision of maintenance and security staff.
o Assist with final strike of the Festival Site including move to storage.
o Other duties as assigned.

 Perform duties of House Technician for season’s performances:
o Operate lighting and sound cues under direction of stage manager
o Perform pre-show audio, lighting, and other technical checks as required.
o Changeover of set as required.
o Assist in maintaining cleanliness of stage.
o In consultation with the stage manager, prepare tent prior to performance as required by weather.
o Assist in maintenance of set and props during the production runs. Including but not limited to: paint
touch ups, minor prop and set repair, replacing and refocusing lights as needed.
o Other duties as assigned by Production and Site Manager, Production Stage Manager and/or Artistic
Producer.

Skills
Ability to work with limited supervision
Ability to organize workflow and supervise crew members
Strong abilities with power tools and knowledge of construction techniques
Knowledge of lighting and sound systems
Ability to operate cues under the direction of Stage Manager
Ability to work as a team member
Driver’s license is required - ability to drive large trucks an asset
First Aid certificate is an asset
