Purpose
This position’s main responsibility is to support and assist the Saskatchewan Cultural Exchange’s team to fulfill the Board of Directors vision of “People enjoy diverse artistic experiences every day, everywhere in Saskatchewan.”

Scope
This position includes providing general administrative support, which could include special event planning, program support, and assisting with communications (websites, newsletters, social media, etc.).

Reporting Relationship
Reports to the SCE Executive Director and to Venue Manager and Programmer and Provincial Outreach Manager as appropriate.

Responsibility 1: General Administration (65%)
- General administrative duties.
- Banking, float counting, cash reconciliation, and preparing expenses for the Financial Manager.
- Notetaking for meetings, including minutes at board meetings. Some weekend work required.
- Some event coordination, travel arrangements, and ordering lunch for meetings.
- Supplies requisition, equipment maintenance, key copying, and key code management.
- Some administrative support such as collating, copying of documents, ticket cutting, and travel arrangements.

Responsibility 2: Communications (35%)
- Website update and maintenance under the direction of the Executive Director and in consultation with the Venue Manager and Programmer and Provincial Outreach Manager.
- Coordination of blog and social media content from staff.
- Coordination and contribution of content for newsletter to be produced and distributed.
- Respond to information requests.
- Ensure office voice mails are cleared daily, that messages are forwarded to appropriate staff via email, and that the outgoing message is up to date.
- Assist with the development of marketing materials.
- Support survey development and execution.
- Assist with ticket and poster design and production as directed by Venue Manager and Programmer.
- Production and distribution of press releases for programming.
- Other duties as may be assigned


Key Core Competencies

Client Awareness
Must have an understanding of the Saskatchewan arts ecology and music industry locally, provincially, and nationally with a focus on emerging artists. Must work respectfully within a diverse multi-disciplinary environment.

Team Orientation
Must be a team player working to meet the SCE’s goals. Must effectively manage conflict and work to facilitate consensus at all organizational levels.

Communication
Must demonstrate strong ability to communicate. Must be able to listen, evaluate, interpret, and accurately convey information across the variety of audiences that comprise the SCE’s stakeholders. Must be able to demonstrate web-based skills and general knowledge of social media. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and specifically Photoshop or other graphic arts applications are definite assets.

Leadership
Must be willing to share areas of competence with others. Must show personal leadership within the position through setting priorities and meeting timelines consistently.

Pay starts at $31,000 per annum and a 3% RRSP contribution as well as a generous benefits package after a three-month probationary period. Each work week is 35 hours. 20 days of holiday per year.
