The Dream Broker Summer Music Camps are delivered as a partnership between the Saskatchewan Band Association, Saskatchewan Music Educators Association, Saskatchewan Choral Federation and the Saskatchewan Orchestral Association. The camps are delivered in 5 communities - North Battleford, Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert and Yorkton thanks to the coordination support of local Dream Brokers. The camps are made possible thanks to the generous support of SaskCulture, Sask Lotteries and many other caring sponsors.

This summer the Camp Coordinator is looking to hire 4 staff full time for up to 8 weeks each.

Job Description:
Program Administrators will be expected to assist in the preparation, delivery and wrap-up of five summer music camps to be held in Regina, Saskatoon, North Battleford, Prince Albert and Yorkton this July and August. Students do not stay overnight at these camps. All camp activities take place in the daytime.

The Program Administrators positions are based in Regina. However, the individuals filling these two roles will be required to travel to Saskatoon, North Battleford, Prince Albert and Yorkton during the weekdays when the camps are taking place in each of those locations. This means that between July 8 and
August 1, the program administrators will be working in other cities during the week and returning to Regina on the weekends. Coverage of travel costs, shared accommodations and a meal allowance will be provided for travel and camp days outside of Regina.

Under the direction of the Camp Coordinator, and through liaising with the
Nutrition Coordinators, the Program Administrators will be responsible for:
- leading the delivery of all camps (including the planning, preparation, onsite student and staff management and problem solving)
- conducting a camp evaluation with students and staff and gathering
statistics, quotes and pictures for presentation in a final report

Other responsibilities, could include various other tasks, as needed, such as:
- collecting, verifying, tracking registrations
- assisting with the preparation and packaging of camp materials
- preparing concert programs
- creating a database of camp registrations and assembling statistical information related to the continued musical study of campers following
the camp
- assisting the Nutrition Coordinators and Camp Coordinator as needed

Job Requirements
The successful candidate will be mature, responsible, well organized, detailoriented, adaptable and hard-working and have experience working with children and youth. They will be able to read, write and verbally communicate effectively in English. They must provide a criminal record check and have reliable
transportation.

A certificate and/or relevant training and experience in office software such as Word, Excel and Outlook would be an asset. A first aid certificate would be an asset as would certificates and/or experience relating to leadership, diversity, and/or program evaluation.

Candidates must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment. Candidates must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with
relevant Saskatchewan legislation and regulations.

International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents.

Hiring Timeline
The Program Administrators will be expected to work approx. 35 hours per week for a maximum of 8 weeks. Due to the nature of camp program delivery flexibility in scheduling of hours may be required. The successful applicants will commence the position of Program Administrator as soon as possible depending
on the applicant’s availability.
