All in the Wild (AITW) is a leader in fine art nature photography with seven galleries located across Canada. Jason Leo Bantle is the founder and photographer, AITW and his art inspires a deeper appreciation of Mother Nature and efforts to preserve it. Jason is one of only 100 photographers worldwide to be recognized by the 2019 Wildlife Photographer of the Year (WPY) competition, London, UK.

All in the Wild is seeking an Operations Manager located in Saskatoon, SK. The Operations Manager offers a challenging leadership opportunity to grow one of Canada’s top Nature Photography profit plus purpose organizations. Reporting to the owner, the Operations Manager will work closely with and provide support on strategy, business planning, direction and the collaborative evolution of this new role. Primary focus will be on the operational and financial direction for All in the Wild with the goal of continued growth and recognition.

This hands-on position will be broad in scope - supporting strategic business goals, executing on strategy, and day-to-day company operations management including:
• Accountable and fiscally responsible to develop a sustainable business plan based the gallery’s strategic direction that results in the continued growth of the galleries.
• Stimulate and promote innovation in the company’s daily functions to facilitate efficient operations and workflow (leveraging technology) from artwork manufacturing, production, inventory management to final delivery to the client.
• Effective people supervision including leading, managing and mentoring 20 staff through recruitment, training and coaching.
• Manage the operational resources – human, financial and physical – to strengthen the galleries prominent role in an increasingly competitive environment.
• Ensure operational excellence through effective financial control and sound business practices; monitor expenditures and budgets with regular reporting on financial, sales and other matters.

You are driven by an entrepreneurial mentality with strong business acumen and the leadership needed by staff to achieve their goals. With your hands-on approach you will possess:
• Strong financial and operational acumen with the ability to prepare budgets; develop and analyze financial forecasts, sales results and operations reports and manage assets/resources.
• Track record of leadership/supervisory experience in motivating others, delegating effectively and managing conflict.
• Five to eight years’ operational leadership experience within the manufacturing or retail business sector; preferably with a passion for nature and/or visual arts.
• Customer centric thinking with a good understanding of sales and marketing however it is not the primary focus of this role.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and juggle projects simultaneously.
• Multitasking ability in a fluid environment, creative problem-solving, with the ability to prioritize, and perform under pressure to meet deadlines including competence in delegation and decision-making.
• A relevant post-secondary business degree or the equivalent in experience and education.
• Constant learner of efficient operations, industry trends and ability to implement best practices.
• Proficiency in the use of business technology including POS, financial reporting, MS Office (Word & Excel), etc.
• Confident and influential communicator with excellent written, verbal, and digital skills to manage a remote staff.
• Commitment to consultation and consensus-building as an active listener, with a mutually respectful management style and exemplary work ethic.
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics required to ensure appropriate tracking and reporting tools are in place to monitor results with the view of continually improving operations.
