Aboriginal Friendship Centres of Saskatchewan Inc.
The Aboriginal Friendship Centres of Saskatchewan (AFCS) advocates for and represents Saskatchewan's Friendship Centres at the Provincial and National levels. As the Provincial and Territorial Association for Saskatchewan, AFCS facilitates communications between Saskatchewan Friendship Centres and the National Association of Friendship Centres, provides information regarding Friendship Centres to the public, and negotiates with the different levels of government for the member centres. AFCS also assists member centres, while respecting their autonomy, with funding information, debt recovery plans and financial negotiation, program development, and much more. Friendship Centres have been active in Saskatchewan since 1963, and have grown within Saskatchewan to encompass 11 Friendship Centres.
