Ferre Play Theatre Inc.
Founded in 2019 by five Saskatchewan-based female theatre artists with over 50 years of combined professional experience, Ferre Play Theatre (FPT) fights to revolutionize and create theatrical work opportunities for women, women-identifying, and fem gender non-conforming theatre artists. On top of creating professional fem-centered productions and providing employment opportunities for women both on stage and off, FPT is passionate about restructuring and decolonizing aspects of traditional theatre that create barriers for artists, such as creating flexible rehearsal schedules and offering subsidies for childcare, and developing the talents of both established and emerging fem-identifying artists in our community through mentorship opportunities.
