Heritage Saskatchewan Accredited by UNESCO for Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage
Following UNESCO's General Assembly for the Convention for the Safeguarding of ICH in September 2020, Heritage Saskatchewan became accredited with recognized competence in the field of ICH. Heritage Saskatchewan joins 189 other heritage and cultural organizations in this capacity, of which nine others are Canadian, and will act as an advisor to the UNESCO ICH Committee while continuing to be a leader in safeguarding ICH in Saskatchewan.
