Call for Proposal: Poster Design - Cathedral Village Arts Festival
Cathedral Village Arts Festival (CVAF) invites design proposals for its 2021 Festival poster.
The theme for CVAF 2021 (our 30th Annual Festival) is “Pearl”
They are seeking a creative design from a local artist that reflects the theme, artistic disciplines in the festival, concepts of festival, celebration, community and/or the cultural threads that weave the festival into a strong and vibrant neighbourhood celebration. The artistic threads are: Music, Theatre, Literary, Film and Visual Arts. Artists may choose to focus on one element, or to include a variety of these elements.
If selected, the artist will receive an honorarium to develop their idea into a finished image, and for the use of their artwork. Elements of the finished art may be used in promotions, programs and other communications, including website, social media, t-shirts, and billboards. The artist will work with the CVAF designer to realize this series of promotional images.

Image size: for the sketch of concept, image size is less important. If selected, the final artwork will be used in a variety of formats for use on the poster (11” X 14” on 11” X 17” paper), program guide (8” X 10”), Billboard (submitted file is 10″ x 20″ inches at 300 dpi,) profile pictures, social media headers and a few more.
Please submit your sketch or rough layout design no later than midnight, January 31, 2021.
