Pink Shirt Day
Last Wednesday of February
After a bullying incident because a Grade 9 boy had worn a pink shirt to school, a school came together the next day to wear pink shirts in solidarity with the bullied boy. From there Pink Shirt Day has become a day for organizations to raise funds for local Boys & Girls Clubs and other anti-bullying initiatives in their communities.
