Remembrance Day

November 11

Marked throughout countries of the British Commonwealth, and originally as Armistice Day, November 11 commemorates the armistice agreement that ended the First World War on November 11, 1918 at 11:00am. Remembrance ceremonies are held throughout Canada on this day, and the day is used to remember and honour those who fought and those who died in armed conflicts.
