The primary responsibility of Buffalo Berry Press Inc. is the publication of BlackFlash, one of the longest-running arts magazines in Canada. In its three issues per year, BlackFlash aims to nourish innovation and excellence in contemporary art; to encourage equitable participation and vigorous debate; to make accessible new artistic and curatorial theory and practice; to promote emerging, as well as, established writers, artists, and curators; to foster professional development of artists, writers, curators, designers, and administrators; to showcase culturally-diverse voices in regional, national, and international contexts; and to investigate the very structure of the art magazine.
