North American Indigenous Games, Cultural Village & IIAP a success
The Regina 2014 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) wrapped up on Saturday, July 26th with closing ceremonies at the First Nations University of Canada featuring performances by Wambidi Dance, Asham Stompers, Sagkeeng's Finest, Andrea Menard, A Tribe Called Red and more! A highlight of the evening was a performance by a group of young artists who were involved with the International Indigenous Artists Program (IIAP) component of the games. You can find out more about the IIAP in this video and you can see their performance in this video of the closing ceremonies (the IIAP performance begins at 48:00).  SaskCulture was proud to support the NAIG Cultural Village, as well as provide funding from the Culture Section of the Trust in support of the IIAP program. Thank you to all involved who made the games a huge success.
