New Arts Initiative to Welcome Syrian Refugees to Canada
The Canada Council for the Arts announced a new initiative, supported in part by Sun Life Financial, to help arts organizations provide free access for refugees to a performance, exhibition or arts event in their communities. For 2016-17, the Canada Council is committing $150,000 in support of this initiative and Sun Life Financial is contributing $50,000. More information will be released in March 2016 for those organizations who want to get involved.
