Saskatchewan artists killed in tragic car accident
It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of two Saskatchewan artists, Michele Sereda  and Lacy Morin-Desjarlais, who were killed in a car accident on the  morning of Tuesday, Feb. 10.  Michelle Sereda, artistic director of Curtain Razors Theatre,  is well-known for her work in engaging people in cultural experience through her own projects and with groups, such as Sakewewak, Mispon, New Dance Horizons and with SaskCulture and its members, to name a few.    Lacy Morin-Desjarlais, a promising young talent, was a powwow dance teacher at University of Regina Conservatory, and a past member of Saskatchewan Native Theatre Company.  Two other cultural leaders from Alberta,  Michael Green, co-founder of One Yellow Rabbit Theatre in Calgary, and filmmaker and instructor Narcisse Blood, a Blackfoot Elder, who teaches at Red Crow Community College, as was as a 58-year-old man from Cupar, SK, were also killed in the crash.  Our condolences and thoughts are with their friends and family. The contributions of these talented, inspirational cultural leaders will not be forgotten.
