Culture Days in Saskatchewan
Organizers can now register their activities for Culture Days on a brand new registration site that has been streamlined to make it more user-friendly. Head over to the website today to enter your Culture Days event details and let everyone know what you've got planned for the Culture Days weekend on September 27, 28 & 29, 2019! The deadline to register events is September 16, 2019.
SaskCulture is pleased to work again this year with the Saskatchewan Districts for Sport Culture and Recreation (Districts) to offer the Culture Days Animateur initiative to Saskatchewan communities that have not previously held a Culture Days activity/event or have only participated once before. The initiative provides a $1,000 honourarium (inclusive of all costs) to a District in partnership with a community to hire a Saskatchewan artist or cultural worker to deliver an interactive, hands-on cultural activity during the Culture Days weekend. Interested communities can contact their respective Districts to get more information about this opportunity.
The Saskatchewan Library Association (SLA) is offering ten-$200 grants to member libraries who are planning Culture Days activities. Application forms can be found on the SLA's website.
