The Government of Canada has provided further details regarding the investment of $181.5 million dollars into the arts and culture sector in response to the COVID-19 pandemic for 2021 - 2022. The Canada Council for the Arts will administer $116.5 million through its Digital Now initiative and Explore and Create Program. While Canadian Heritage will receive $40 million in new funding for the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage, Canada Arts Presentation Fund, and Canada Music Fund programs.
