Program Overview

The Accessibility Fund is not a grant. The Fund aims to provide support to organizations led by individuals who experience barriers and would benefit from support in applying for SaskCulture grant programs.

Contact a Consultant with any questions
If you have questions about how the Accessibility Fund can help you, email or call the grant’s Outreach Consultant directly. Be sure to identify your communication preference when you contact the Consultant.

Submit a request
Download sample phone conversations and email templates to use when contacting the Consultant. Work with the Consultant to complete a request for support from the Accessibility Fund. Your request will be reviewed, and you will be informed of the decision.

Program Details

What is the purpose of this grant?

The Accessibility Fund Objectives are to:

  • Support organizations who need accessibility support in applying for or reporting on one of SaskCulture’s Grant Programs; and
  • Support the development and capacity of organizations to deliver cultural programs.

This program will support people facing barriers, including but not limited to those who:

  • are deaf or hard of hearing
  • are blind or partially sighted
  • are autistic
  • are neurodiverse
  • have a disability
  • have a mental illness
  • experience technology barriers
  • experience a barrier with communication through language or method of communication
When can I request for this support?

This fund is available for all granting programs operated by SaskCulture.

Requests are accepted on an ongoing basis. However, if you request support to complete an application or follow-up report, requests should be made to the Outreach Consultant at least four weeks before the deadline.

How much can I apply for?

The Accessibility Fund can cover the direct costs of hiring someone to help with creating an account, completing and submitting an application, or follow-up report on the online grant platform

Note: Access support will be paid directly to support providers. The service provider will submit an invoice showing the hourly rate, the services provided, who they were provided to, and the number of hours of service. We provide service providers with the opportunity to sign up for Direct Deposit.

Who can apply?

Applicant Eligibility

  • Any organization that is eligible to apply to any of our programs.
  • This funding support is available to organizations regardless of whether they submit an application or if the resulting application is successful.
What can I apply for?

Initiative Eligibility

  • The request must directly address the objectives of this fund.

Support will be given to initiatives that:

Help organizations:

  • create an account on the Online Grant Platform (OGP);
  • complete and submit a SaskCulture Grant Application on the OGP; and
  • complete and submit a follow-up report on the OGP.

Eligible Expenses

The Accessibility Fund can cover direct costs associated with contracting someone to assist with;

  • create an account on the Online Grant Platform (OGP);
  • complete and submit a SaskCulture Grant Application on the OGP; and
  • complete and submit a follow-up report on the OGP.
