One Book, One Province online moderated discussion with Paul Seesequasis
Please join us for an online moderated discussion with Paul Seesequasis, author of the One Book, One Province 2021 selection, "Blanket Toss Under Midnight Sun: Portraits of Everyday Life in Eight Indigenous Communities."
Blanket Toss Under Midnight Sun: Portraits of Eight Indigenous Communities” is a book that originated from a social media project. Paul’s amazing prose provides depth and context to the archival photographs. By adopting this selection, we hope to promote a message of understanding and awareness of Indigenous people and communities and as such to contribute to truth and reconciliation in our communities across the province.
One Book, One Province aims to increase literacy and to create a reading culture by providing opportunities for residents to become more socially engaged in their community through a shared story. One Book, One Province encourages Saskatchewan’s social, economic and cultural development while supporting libraries and collaboration.
Presented in partnership with the Saskatchewan Writers' Guild and the Alex Robertson Public Library in LaRonge
