Hearts for the North" Northern Fire Relief Concert
Local Saskatchewan artists to put on fundraiser show at The Broadway Theatre July 4, 2025 in support of provincial wildfire evacuation relief.
Wildfires in Northern Saskatchewan are cited to have displaced between 10,000 to 15,000 people that call the North home. As an effort to raise funds for those impacted by the fires, a group of musicians from across Saskatchewan have come together to create a benefit concert at The Broadway Theatre on July 4th.
With performances by The North Sound, Eliza Mary Doyle, RaytheNihilist, Former Lovers, and 8 Track Throwback, the benefit concert aims to create community and raise funds for northern wildfire evacuation relief.
Ticket prices for “Hearts for the North” are sold on a sliding scale model from twenty dollars to fifty dollars, allowing the purchaser to determine how much they would like to donate towards the cause.
“This fundraiser is a tangible way that our provincial arts community can come together to directly support the many displaced evacuees and their families while they contend with these unprecedented fires in the North. We’re grateful for the many artists and organizers involved, and The Broadway Theatre is happy to support this initiative in every way we can. All proceeds and financial donations collected will be directed to CUMFI (Central Urban Métis Federation Inc.), supporting their efforts to assist evacuees and families impacted by the wildfires across Northern Saskatchewan.
