Manitoba artist Julianna Zwierciadlowska-Rhymer creates luscious and luxurious ceramic desserts to explore industrial food production and overconsumption within the Western world. Elaborate detail and extravagance seduce the viewer but reveal a disturbing and grotesque reality through a playful and curious lens. This striking installation of ceramic desserts, fibre tapestries, and self-portrait photographs uses dark humour to explore our complicated relationship with food.
Join us for a reception on Saturday, November 8th to celebrate this solo exhibition with this visiting artist from 2 to 5 pm. All are welcome!
