Lyell Gustin Series presents the Gryphon Trio!

Gustin House proudly presents one of the world’s foremost piano trios, Gryphon Trio, praised for dynamic programming and for captivating performances of music traditional and modern. The ensemble is a three-time JUNO winner (and an 11-time nominee!) and recipient of accolades for performance, musical leadership, and 22 acclaimed recordings.

In the Lyell Gustin Series, the Trio will perform a unique recital that illuminates and celebrates the development of their repertoire. The program, "Becoming the Piano Trio: From Enlightenment Conversation to Inner Voice," includes works from Mozart and Beethoven to Brahms and Rebecca Clarke. A special feature will be Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 2 in C minor, Op. 66.

Comprised of the original members, violinist Annalee Patipatanakoon, cellist Roman Borys, and pianist Jamie Parker, Gryphon has toured widely, commissioned new music, and partnered with other groups and institutions, many times in collaborations that redefine chamber music for the 21st century.
