Paths Home: The Many Journeys for Return

In this conversation, we’ll sit down with Dr. Jaime Lavallee to talk about repatriation, Saskatchewan law, and how they connect to Indigenous rights and UNDRIP.

The conversation will touch on the challenges, the opportunities, and the
urgent need to bring ancestors and cultural belongings home.

We’ll also highlight truth‑telling, Indigenous laws, and how working together can support real change and stronger connections to
land and community.

Dr. Lavallee is a faculty member at the University of Saskatchewan College of Law and a citizen of Muskeg Lake Cree Nation. Her work focuses on Indigenous Nation-building, governance, and repatriation, with experience
in Indigenous rights across Canada and internationally.
