A History of Treaty 6 Museum Exhibit

2026 is the 150th anniversary of the signing of Treaty 6 at Fort Carlton and Fort Pitt.

A new exhibit, A History of Treaty 6, is up now at the Humboldt Museum. The exhibit uses primary and secondary historical sources to create a narrative timeline of the events leading up to the signing of Treaty 6, what happened during negotiations, and what some of the lasting impacts are.

This exhibit presents an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the phrase “We are all Treaty people” and to learn more about this complex history.
