Running August 14–16, 2026 at the Saskatoon Elks Lodge #12 (508 – 12th Street East), ShapeShifters brings together popular remounted works and exciting new creations by some of Canada’s leading dance artists. This unique program offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience professional contemporary dance in Saskatoon—an art form that challenges, inspires, and transforms.
The program features:
Dansemorphia – A physically demanding ensemble work with original music by Sleepwreck, choreographed by Jackie Latendresse Inching – by renowned Canadian choreographer Danny Grossman Bohemian’s Progress – choreographed by Jackie Latendresse, performed with live music by the quartet Mac Talla, featuring an original score composed by Jeremy Cook PLUS A brand-new contemporary dance work by Meghann Michalsky Together, these works explore transformation, resilience, imagination, and the ever-changing nature of human experience. From intimate moments to sweeping ensemble pieces, ShapeShifters showcases the artistry, athleticism, and emotional depth that makes contemporary dance a captivating live experience.
