Plein Air Drawing Workshop with Jason Baerg & Elder Liz Settee
Location: Along the North Saskatchewan Riverbank. (Exact location to be sent to registrants.) In case of inclement weather, the workshop will be at the Mann Art Gallery.
Workshop Description: En plein air drawing in Kistahpinanihk with Elder Liz Settee and Jason Baerg This workshop introduces landscape art/pictoral discussions and practices outside on the land as we focus on Prince Albert, historically called the “great meeting place," "meeting place," or "sitting pretty place." Elder Liz Settee will share teachings of the land along the North Saskatchewan River, while Jason Baerg provides related hands-on drawing instruction. Participants will learn about the histories of place and approaches to conveying land from an Indigenous perspective This workshop is open to all.
Supplies: Participants will need to bring their own supplies: oil pastels, paper, tape, and a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Drawing boards will be supplied.
