Disney's Moana Jr.
Under the guidance of Cultural Advisor Dr. Tina Fraser of Prince George, BC, Harmony Arts – Children’s Live Theatre brings Moana Jr. to the Mae Wilson Theatre, with cultural learning at the heart of the production. Students have explored Polynesian cultures, with a particular focus on Māori culture, learning about traditions, values, traditional stories and beliefs, language, dance, storytelling and cultural identity.
Moana Jr. tells the powerful story of a brave young girl who journeys across the open ocean to save her people and return the stolen heart to the goddess Te Fiti. Along the way, Moana discovers the greatness of her inner strength and learns that her journey is not about defeating a villain, but about healing, understanding and restoring what has been lost.
