Volunteer Overview:
Consider volunteering and take an active role on one of Meewasin’s Board Advisory Committees! We are seeking one new member to join the Education Advisory Committee.

Meewasin’s Board of Directors makes appointments, and vacancies are filled as necessary. Potential candidates must have the necessary qualifications and experience to fulfil the purpose of the committee.

Committee Description:
The Education Advisory Committee assists the Meewasin Board of Directors its task to instill experiential, natural, and cultural education research and experiences in the valley by advising the Board on policy development in these areas and assisting the Board to monitor the achievement of these objectives.

The committee typically meets quarterly. Meetings are held virtually.

Volunteer Position:
The Education Advisory Committee is currently seeking one (1) member that fits the following requirements:
• One member, from a community group whose interests include experiential, natural and cultural education, research and experiences.

At times, ‘all committee’ meetings are called.

Committee members are appointed for a two-year term, and shall be eligible for re-appointment to a maximum of two consecutive terms (four years). Appointees retired from a committee may serve on another committee or be eligible for re-appointment following a minimum one-year absence.
