Forty years ago Canadian writer Sharon Butala introduced the idea of Wallace Stegner's childhood home in Eastend becoming a place of inspiration for artists and writers. Since then hundreds of artists have completed residencies in the beautiful old house on the banks of the Frenchman River.
Along with the one month residency we have two grant programs available: the Wallace Stegner Grant for the Arts and the Big Flat Folk Fest Songwriters Grant.
