City of Regina & Reconciliation Regina, Regina
Deadline: October 07, 2026 - October 14, 2026
The City of Regina, in partnership with Reconciliation Regina and the project’s Knowledge Collective, has released an Expression of Interest for the Mihko Achokos Iskwêw Commemoration Project formerly known as the Legacy of Treaty 4: A Tribute to MMIWG2S+

Indigenous contractors, teams of historians, educators, journalists and/or writers are invited to submit proposals for the creation of educational resources for the site. The successful proposal will outline learning materials in alignment with the Regina Public School Board and Saskatchewan curriculum outcomes and standards. The total available budget for the project is $60,000 which will include contractor fees, digital integration, design, and translation. This expression of interest supports the larger Indigenous-led landscape architecture initiative, rooted in Treaty 4 Indigenous leadership. Guided by 12 Elders since 2019 and supported by all levels of government, the project responds to multiple Calls for Justice from the National Inquiry and could become the largest MMIWG2S+ commemoration site in Canada.

Applications are open to First Nations, Métis and Inuit professional with preference for those connected to Treaty 4 Territory.

Deadline: Wednesday October 14, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. CST
