Saskatchewan Association of International Languages

Since 1985, the Saskatchewan Association of International Languages (SAIL) has been working with teachers, volunteers, and cultural communities to develop and promote the teaching and learning of heritage languages. SAIL operates as an umbrella organization for over 70 language schools and interested groups from across Saskatchewan. Members of SAIL currently offer instruction in over 40 different languages. SAIL has a variety of programs to help support language schools including a member funding program, skill development workshops, bursaries, resource material and an annual provincial conference for heritage language teachers. In addition, SAIL works to promote the value and benefits of learning a second language through programs like the Heritage Languages Recognition Day and the Mini-Language Lessons Program.
