Changes to financial reporting for Saskatchewan non-profits

On March 12, new legislation and regulations pertaining to Saskatchewan non-profits will come into force, including The Non-profit Corporations Act, 2022. Among the changes there is a shift to requiring only larger charitable corporation to conduct an audit or review, and updates to Annual Return and Financial Statement filing timelines for non-profit corporations. New financial forms will become available on March 12, and the current forms will not be accepted after this date. Non-profit corporations with annual return and financial statements due on or around March 12 are encouraged to file early. SaskCulture will review the new legislation and adjust funding requirements accordingly. Groups will be informed if impacted by changes. Read more.
