Bringing Home the Children: A First Nations Documentary Film

A feature length documentary film capturing a four day virtual prayer & ride involving six Saskatchewan First Nations. QBOW CFS Inc.'s annual ride is one of prayer and healing and grounded in traditional Indigenous ceremony. It uses horses and traditional First Nations ceremonies and practices to bring awareness to the traumatic legacies that result from children being removed from their families and communities. This event will honour, recognize, and revitalize the traditional relationship between Indigenous people and the horse through language– and culture-based activities including Elder stories, teachings, traditional horse songs, ceremonies, and connection to horses. Documentary to be released at a later date.
