The virtual reading will take place online on Friday, October 2nd at 7:00 pm CST.

In Tunnels of Time, instead of enjoying a school trip to the mountains, thirteen-year-old Andrea has to attend her cousin’s boring wedding in boring Moose Jaw. When she accidentally falls into one of the mysterious tunnels beneath the city, she discovers she’s travelled back in time to the 1920s and the dangerous days of underground gangsters and gambling. Can Andrea outwit the men who are forcing her to work for them in this frightening world? And can she ever find her way back to her family? This updated edition features 12 illustrations, updated language, and new resources.

Mary Harelkin Bishop has been a writer since she was nine years old. She is the author of the best-selling Tunnels of Moose Jaw Adventures books, the award-winning Mistasinîy: Buffalo Rubbing Stone, Seeds of Hope: A Prairie Story, as well as Gina’s Wheels. She has been a teacher, a teacher-librarian, and an educational/instructional consultant with Saskatoon Public Schools and has spent more than half her career working in core neighbourhood schools.
