Multicultural Café: Sharing Traditions Through Food

We are excited to launch our new Multicultural Café: Sharing Traditions Through Food series!
Join us on July 12 for the first event in this unique series, where we will explore how food connects cultures across borders. At each gathering, we will focus on a traditional dish that exists in different countries and cultures, discovering both the similarities that unite us and the unique traditions that make each version special.

Our first event is dedicated to one of the most beloved desserts of the region - baklava.
We are delighted to welcome a special guest from the Iranian community, who will share the secrets of preparing authentic Iranian baklava, its history, and the traditions surrounding this cherished treat. Participants will also learn about Azerbaijani baklava, comparing ingredients, preparation methods, and cultural significance. They will also have a chance to taste both versions of delicious baklava.

Every recipe tells a story, and every shared meal creates a connection. We look forward to beginning this delicious cultural journey with you!
