Jed & the Valentine for Long Day's Night Satellite Series

A cup of coffee that warms your hands on a rainy day; the feeling of wind rushing through the car window as you sing your heart out on the highway; songs that feel like “love letters set to music” (Kate Stevens, CKUA). Jed and the Valentine (Maria Khaner and Jonah Morris) weave glimmers of guitar and banjo with their soul-stirring vocals, carefully crafting their own personal brand of sun-dappled indie-folk. The duo writes their songs together, bringing their most vulnerable moments into music with soaring harmonies, rich layers of melodies mingling with one another, and lyrics that dance alongside the mix of string and brass instruments creating a fusion of bluegrass, pop, and indie.
