Indigenous Perspectives: The Fashion Show
Experience the exhibition The Fashion Show through a guided exhibition tour with the curator, a making activity with local artist Sara McCreary, and informal conversation over refreshments facilitated by an Elder.
Explore colour, texture, pattern, and form through a hands-on textile art workshop inspired by the exhibition. Using fabric scraps, participants will create their own two-dimensional textile compositions. Take inspiration from the colours, textures, patterns, silhouettes, and fashions that catch your attention, and experiment with arranging materials in new ways.
No sewing experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to learn! The workshop is open to all skill levels.
