Communications Liaison

Join our team as Communications Liaison!

The Communication Liaison oversee and manage agency events which would include resource development, communications, advertising, and management of contact lists. The position is responsible for event planning, coordinate sponsorship/donations for the agency, support communication initiatives, and provide support to stakeholders. The Communication Liaison research, write, edit, and distribute communications including public relations and media release to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications
Education and Professional Certification
- University degree in English, Journalism, Business or related field of study.

Experience
- Minimum one (1) year of communications experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
Services
Develop and create communication plans for agency events including research, writing and distributing communications to stakeholders and public.
Promotes agency events including creation of public relations material and media releases both internal and external.
Maintains and coordinates all solicitation/sponsorship requests for the agency.
Liaison with stakeholders for event expectations including budget, location, expected outcomes.
Provide support in coordination and planning as committee member on various agency events.
Design and manages agency relationship management system including maintain updated contact lists.
Support communications initiatives and provide support to stakeholders.
Support communication duties such as website monitoring and content, social media and crisis communication.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Leadership
Share specialized knowledge with team members.
Collaborate with and communicate with stakeholders when required.
Represents the communication team on several cross-agency committees.
Ensure policies, procedures, and agency standards are being met.

Management of Resources
Participate in the successful implementation of communication initiatives and ensure assigned projects are delivered within proposed timeframes and budgets.
Seek to improve processes and enhance services and efficiencies within the program and across the agency.

Safety
Maintain, promote, and reinforce safe work habits, practices, and procedures.
Adhere to written or verbal agency and government regulations, policies, practices, and instructions.
The incumbent is responsible for completing all mandatory training requirements for the position as per agency policy and guidelines.

Wage range for this position is: $26.30 to $33.98 per hour, depending on experience.
