Creative Kids
Creative Kids Saskatchewan is a program of SaskCulture that provides funding assistance to children aged 4 to 19 years who face financial and social barriers to participation in arts and cultural activities. It is funded by private donations and sponsorships through the registered charity Creative Kids Canada Inc., with administration supported by SaskCulture Inc. through the Sask Lotteries Trust Fund for Sport, Culture and Recreation.
Creative Kids Administrator
Creative Kids is seeking an Administrator for a nine (9) month term, with the possibility of extension. The Creative Kids Administrator serves as the primary point of contact for the Creative Kids program, collaborating closely with the Creative Kids Outreach Consultant to support program delivery, foster community engagement, ensure compliance with charity policies, and assist with the charity’s financial management. The responsibilities of this position include:
• Support the development and delivery of the Creative Kids program by reviewing applications, assessing eligibility, coordinating adjudications, and distributing funds.
• Liaise with applicants and service providers regarding applications, eligibility, results, notifications, and payment processes.
• Assist Creative Kids volunteer committees by preparing summary reports, attending adjudication meetings, recording outcomes, and notifying stakeholders.
• Manage confidential records, maintain registries and databases, generate reports, process payments, reconcile accounts, and prepare bank deposits.
• Contribute to fundraising initiatives, grant writing, and event management.
• Support the Communications team with newsletters, website maintenance, social media updates, and progress reporting.
• Collaborate with SaskCulture staff on strategic planning and staff development.
Typically the knowledge and abilities required for this position would be acquired through post-secondary education in office education and/or business administration with several years experience in an office administration role. Experience working in a non-profit organization and/or charity is a definite asset. This position can have strict deadlines and priorities. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of Saskatchewan arts and culture together with experience in computer and database applications, financial management, and data management. As the first point of contact for the program, applicants must be sensitive and understanding, respectful of diverse backgrounds and family situations, able to maintain confidentiality, know proper telephone etiquette, and demonstrate superior written and oral communication and client service skills.
SaskCulture’s office is located in Regina and the preferred candidate shall live in close proximity to Regina. A hybrid flex/in-office work model will be considered with a schedule for in-office days and remote work within SaskCulture’s core hours. The specifics will be tailored to meet the needs of the employee, team and SaskCulture. This position offers a competitive, annual salary starting at $59,875, plus benefits.
