Position Executive Director, Theatre Saskatchewan Inc. Our office is currently located in Regina, Saskatchewan. However, we invite applicants based in other Saskatchewan communities to apply.
About Theatre Saskatchewan Theatre Saskatchewan Inc. (TSI) has been serving community theatres across Saskatchewan since 1932. We are the only provincially funded organization dedicated to building community through theatre. We strengthen Saskatchewan communities by providing support, education, and opportunities to hometown theatre groups. Through our growing network of member organizations, we foster connections between theatre practitioners across our vast province, creating a vibrant ecosystem of storytellers and community builders.
The Candidate:
Role of the Executive Director Theatre Saskatchewan is seeking an Executive Director who is passionate about arts and culture and can build upon TSI's current success, reputation, and growth. The ED will provide strategic leadership and manage operations and programs to ensure TSI effectively meets its financial, operational, and strategic goals. This role requires regular travel throughout the province to visit member groups and attend events.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED will provide leadership that aligns all aspects of operations with the organization's mandate, strategic plans, operating budget and available resources to ensure financial sustainability.
Oversee daily operations, financial planning and reporting, and assist with programming opportunities.
Serve as a spokesperson for Theatre Saskatchewan in the community. Build relationships with community partners, patrons of the Arts, artists and stakeholders.
Lead and support fundraising efforts and grant proposals with the assistance of the Board.
Support Board Recruitment, engagement and development.
Recruit, supervise and evaluate administrative staff and volunteers.
Ensure compliance with local, provincial and federal regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
Relevant education and related experience in the performing arts and culture field.
Experience in a leadership role is preferred.
Proficiency with office technologies and file management.
Comfort with social media marketing and promoting organizational activities and initiatives across various platforms.
Experience with organizational budgeting, fundraising, financial management and bookkeeping practices would be preferred.
Compensation
Salary based on 24-hour work week
